I picked up reading again lately, pulling my late mother’s kindle out of storage. When I was younger, primarily early teens, I read a lot. And I mean a lot. But as I got older, my priorities shifted and I can only remember 1 book I’ve fully read and that was about 5 years ago.

So, I decided it’s time to pick the hobby back up. It’s not as easy as it used to be with a toddler running around but I’m determined to get some more brain power back and reading is an excellent way to do so

Honestly like yes tumblr feels a lot better than most socmedia but I still find that my mental engagement is slipping? I'll scroll just to scroll or queue just to queue. Have stopped putting tag commentary bc it doesnt rlly seem relevant anymore. Maybe I'm just getting depressed again or maybe I need to cultivate my focus and actually put my brain to work off the internet

I feel like being between jobs should be nice. Like a mini vacation while I look for better opportunities.... Instead I'm still sleep deprived and I'm getting hella anxious because I don't know what to do with all my spare time..... Like this is probably one of the first times in my life I've had this much free time and idk how to chill
