Paulette felt like an idiot. She had fallen down the rabbit hole. How clumsy of her. She had been shrunk to the size of a pea and grown to the size of a giant in this strange world. She was lost, confused and didn’t know where to go from here. Nothing was as it seemed. She had had tea with a madman and his friends, she had been confused, confuddled and she had no idea where to go from here.
She began to regret wishing that everyone was a little more silly. She wanted nothing more than to go home, where the world makes sense and she knew what was what. Here, she didn’t know left from right, up from down. What was normal? She didn’t even know who to trust!
She choked back tears. She wasn’t going to cry in a strange place. Instead, she decided to press on. ‘There must be something around here that makes sense around here’ she thought to herself. She hoped that someone would help. A familiar face would be a bonus.
Alas, nobody would be coming. Oh why did nothing make sense? Who makes up the rules? She let out a heavy sigh. She sat down by a tree, not even noticing the person who was close by…
