“Hey, are you alright?” Jack frowned, feigning concern - he recognised Violet from the video, obviously. Not that his concern was genuine, far from it, but he could at least fake long enough to get more dirt out of her - it wasn’t like anyone knew he had leaked the video. As far as Maverick was concerned, it was all Sky’s doing. The thought made Jack want to grin, to be honest, but he kept up the concerned expression. “You’re Violet, right? I’m so sorry about what happened with the video and...” He let his voice trail off, grimacing. “Fucking disgusting what Mave’s ex did. Crossed a line.”

It had become progressively more difficult for Asher to sleep, after the Founder's Day events, and he wasn't entirely sure why that was. Whether it was the physical effects of dehydrating quickly and generally being weaker, or the psychological impact of everyone's suffering eating him up, he found himself laying awake at night unable to quiet his mind long enough to rest. It had been a while since he'd contemplated a sleeping pill, he'd found it a slippery slope leading him to other vices, ones he'd later find it hard to quit. But perpetual exhaustion placed him in a state of unease pushing him to unwanted thoughts.

Hence his presence at the apothecary, unsure really of what precisely he was looking for, pretending to gaze at bottles on the shelf for a second just to avoid the awkward confusion he was certain he emitted, before he felt able to approach Violet, "hey, I'm looking for some sort of potion to help with sleep?"
