This scenario was way out of Carson's comfort zone. A double date? With his two friends that were already dating and have been for some time now? The whole idea of it made Carson sweat nervously. It would have been easier to process if he knew this girl, but he didn't. Actually, he didn't know a single thing about her, other than the fact that she was Catherine's friend. And when Carson heard that Ennis was coming back home for a week, he was excited to hang out with his friend--- not his friend, his friend's girlfriend, and his friend's girlfriend's friend. It all felt like a set up, and Carson was not okay with it.
"Ease up already, will you?" Ennis hardly looked over at his best friend, he know that the other male was nervous. Carson's leg had been bouncing this entire time, and it was starting to annoy Ennis. Before they arrived to the diner, Carson was energetic and talkative. Now, while waiting for Catherine and her friend to arrive, the other teen was quiet and clammy. "You look like you need to take a shit, man. Chill out." Ennis tried to keep in mind that his friend wasn't as outgoing as he was, but still. Carson wasn't some freak without a hand, or awkwardly pale from staying inside so often. Carson was a normal teenager, and Ennis despised the fact that Carson never embraced that. Looking out the window, Ennis noticed Catherine's driver's car pull up, and sat up a little straighter, excited. "There here, man, so actual natural. Don't embarrass yourself."
