Nixie was at first thrilled to have her brother back in town. The longer he was here, though, the more unsettled she felt. It was like his body returned but his soul was still locked up with their father. He wasnât himself, and not just because of a bad mood. He had changed far beyond what she ever assumed was capable. Suddenly following Fatherâs rule? Even just the act of referring to him as Father.
She hid all of this from her siblings, knowing well that they would be of no help. If she was defiant Nerissa would sing her into being more agreeable. Griffin loves Felix too blindly to notice a change, and would just defend their big brother. Han might be more reasonable, but she couldnât find him anywhere.
So, she decided to try to get help from someone outside her family. The boy she daydreamed about in between sessions of worrying about Felix.
Plus, it was an excuse to spend time with him and give him the gift she made for him.
She couldnât wait for him to just show up at Central Perk, and anyway, she didnât want to talk about this stuff in public. She remembered him saying that he lived in the apartment building. After a bit of pleading to the custodian she was able to get his apartment number.
Nixie knocks eagerly on the door and waits for him to answer.
