A Dickkory FanFic

“You’re in love with her.” Donna stated plainly with a knowing smile. She followed him into the Wayne manor kitchen, after noticing him slip away from the Christmas party happening in the great room.

“What are you talking about?” Dick answered, not fully processing Donna’s accusation.

Dick Grayson does not fall in love. Love was not something he had time for. If Bruce taught him one thing about love it’s that it complicates things. And there was no room for complications when you are in their line of work. So he just never did it and had no plans of falling in love any time soon.

“Kory,” Donna looked at him trying to gauge his reaction as she leaned against the counter.

The mention of Kory’s name made his heart pang. It was a feeling he has taught himself to ignore over the past couple of months.

“You two have been stealing glances across the room at each other since the night started.”

A brief silence passed as Dick finally broke his thought “It’s not like that between us.” Donna rolled her eyes as soon as she heard the words come out of his mouth. “... and I’m with Barbra right now.”

Donna’s smile faded as she heard that detail Dick forgot to mention to her earlier. “Dick, I have known you for a long time. And I can honestly say..., I have never seen you look at anyone the way you look at Kory.”

Dick always knew Donna was going to be the one to call him out on his shit. But he was not ready to confront what he knew was true deep down in his gut.

Dick Grayson has fallen in love with Kory Anders and there is nothing he can do to change that.

This story was kind of rushed and I haven't written in a long time so sorry for the grammar errors.
