There’s no such thing as a bad fan. Everyone likes things with differing levels of intensity… And also some people have less responsibilities and more time on their hands to focus on entertainment and fan art than others. (There, I said it. ;))

True, work and family can eat up a lot of time. Thanks for reminding me of that.

9. Science fiction or fantasy? Fantasy over sci-fi probably but it's a close second.

10. If you had the power to pass one state law where you live, what would it be? A law protecting the all human life would be a start.

11. What’s the most beautiful sight you’ve ever seen? That first moment of putting glasses (or contacts) on after a while of not having them on. You see everything with such clarity that you're not used to, like blades of grass or leaves on trees.

1. Is there a fandom, character or anything else that you’ve gained an interest in because of tumblr?

GLTAS. I wouldn't be watching it right now if not for metaraymek et al.

2. If you could be anywhere else in the entire universe right now, where would you be?

On Moya. Come on. The entire freaking universe, there's got to be a Leviathan around somewhere. The TARDIS is a close second, but on Moya I stand a slightly better chance of settling down and having a family and not getting erased from existence.

3. What’s the most memorable thing that happened to you last year?

Meeting Jane Goodall and getting a photo taken with her. The close second is getting my first ever piece of fanmail (and this is pre-Falling, this was for the print story).  The third is everything that happened around Falling.

4. Have you put your Christmas tree away yet? (I haven’t put mine up yet. heh)

Nope. Probably next week, provided the plague doesn't resurface. Also, enough snow has melted that we can actually access the garage again where the storage boxes are.

5. Is there a movie that you enjoy that is a guilty pleasure for you?

Warriors of Virtue. It's stupid as all hell, and has acting that makes Dungeons and Dragons look subtle, but the first time I watched it in University, something just clicked and I couldn't help loving it anyway.

6. Are sloths just the best, or are you a nudibranch person?

WHY DO YOU MAKE ME CHOOOOOOSE???

7. Is there something in entertainment (movies, TV shows, books) that you would like to see that hasn’t been made? (Like a sequel to something, or a concept you’d like to see.)

HIS MAJESTY'S DRAGON. Peter Jackson, you bought the rights years ago, now stop futzing around with Tintin and Tolkein, get off your butt, and give me the Napoleonic Wars with dragons as the air force NOW!!!

8. What character in fiction are you most like?

Oh, this is a hard one. I'm gonna say Anne Shirley. I have a habit of going off into my own headspace, which got me into trouble a lot when I was little, and led to doing a lot of stupid things in the name of imagination. I'm really enthusiastic about stuff I care about, and will argue for what I perceive to be justice even when it could potentially get me into trouble.  I get really angry when people spell my incredibly-common-and-yet-has-two-spellings name wrong. And I eventually grew up to be a writer and teacher.

9. What real life person do you wish you could be like?

Jim Henson. Or Jane Goodall. 

10. Is there something about you that no one would guess based on your tumblr?

Not that I can think of off the top of my head.

11. How was your day? :)

Pretty good. :o)  I got to watch a little girl try on our monarch costume and run around in a circle with a rapt expression on her face for about twenty minutes. At one point, she careened face-first into a glass display case, staggered back in shock, and proceeded to continue to run in a circle in the opposite direction. When her mom pulled out her "magic wand" to turn her back into a girl, she went "no! I'm a butterfly! I will never, ever stop!" Ten minutes later, she came to see what my partner and I were doing, and my partner went, "I thought you said you were never stopping." She looked at my partner in horror and proceeded to go for another five minutes before collapsing in exhaustion. She was in slippery shoes so she fell a lot, but never once lost her devotion to the cause.

This is why I love working with kids.

I've Been Shot! I've Been Shot! I Mean, Tagged...

Oh god, I'm tagged! MEDIC! MEDIC! Anyways, if I actually knew eleven people on Tumblr, I would do the rules and tag back. But blah, blah, blah, I'll still answer the questions. 1. Is there a fandom, character or anything else that you’ve gained an interest in because of tumblr? At one point in time I spent a bit too much time looking at pictures of characters played by Jessica Parker Kennedy...... But I'm pretty sure that's just because she's gorgeous, and I like staring at pretty people without them looking back. Which isn't creepy at all. 2. If you could be anywhere else in the entire universe right now, where would you be? Oh god, I don't know.... Maybe at an Inklings meeting, listening to Tolkien and Lewis spew thoughts and readings from their unfinished work, trying to read Amanda McKittrick Ross without laughing. Really: "Holy Moses! Take a look! Flesh decayed in every nook! Some rare bits of brain lie here, Mortal loads of beef and beer." Can you read it and not laugh? I think it's the exclamation of 'Holy Moses!' that gets me, which is unfortunate, because it's the first line. So yes, either that or riding an elephant. It's a plus if the elephant can fly and/or has butterfly wings painted on its ears. Can we be in space? 3. What’s the most memorable thing that happened to you last year? Well, I finally graduated college for multimedia and webmastering. But I rank getting my synth in the mail higher. Hopefully that's not sad. 4. Have you put your Christmas tree away yet? Unfortunately, because of family members who don't like the pagan roots (GOD made the tree, people), we're not allowed to have a Christmas tree while we're here, which is the saddest part of Christmas for me. But once we're out, we shall find the grandest of all Christmas trees, the pineiest of all pines. And we shall love every second of it. As for the Christmas lights, I keep them up until I see fit they come down. 5. Is there a movie that you enjoy that is a guilty pleasure for you? Nope. There are, however, a few TV shows that I'm ashamed to say I've watched. They hold me in their grasps for a few months before I come to my senses and realize how reprehensible it is that I give them a shred of my attention. 6. Are sloths just the best, or are you a nudibranch person? Sloths, for sure. They're so fuzzy! And slow. Though I have to say I had no idea what a nudibranch even was until I typed it into Google. Clown colored sea slugs. God absolutely destroys me when it comes to bizarre. (Extra fun fact: My iPad autocorrected 'nudibranch' to 'nudie ranch', which I find hilarious. I'm an adult, I swear.) 7. Is there something in entertainment (movies, TV shows, books) that you would like to see that hasn’t been made? (Like a sequel to something, or a concept you’d like to see.) I would like to see Spielberg stop with all the crap he's been doing (Super 8 aside) and make cartoons again. I feel like the plot possibilities of the subconscious mind haven't been explored enough. To be honest, I would like the actual ART of writing to return. There's good stories, but I feel the art of the words themselves has been lost somewhat. A Tim Burton Candy Land movie. Also, more space animals. 8. What character in fiction are you most like? I have no idea. You'd probably have to create some bizarre mishmash. Jean Valjean meets Sikowitz? Kermit meets Animal? I kind of feel like Pooh and Tigger and Owl all at the same time... 9. What real life person do you wish you could be like? Joan of Arc. And Da Vinci. And Ella Fitzgerald. And the entire cast of Monty Python's Flying Circus. 10. Is there something about you that no one would guess based on your tumblr? I wrote a theme song for my favorite yellow mug. I also sing to my coffee to make it taste better. And I might be a tad obsessed with elephants and ginger people. Separately, that is. 11. How was your day? :) It was splendid! It involved two cups of coffee, playing historical fiction video games, an avocado sandwich, and writing a new song. All in one day!

So after drawing Starwilliam's Windolay for a late birthday, I decided to colour it as well. So after taking some time between other things I was finally able to finish colouring.

Here is Starwilliamsart's Windolay. A fan Lantern from the Star Sapphires.

I did have it done a lot closer to her birthday, but the inking was held back due to lack of time.

I drew this for her as I've liked her Green Lantern art and her other paintings as well. She's even illustrated a Children's poetry book found here,  which is more than I can say for myself.

I should get around to colour... as soon as I fix some issues with the image.
