Oh god, I'm tagged! MEDIC! MEDIC! Anyways, if I actually knew eleven people on Tumblr, I would do the rules and tag back. But blah, blah, blah, I'll still answer the questions. 1. Is there a fandom, character or anything else that you’ve gained an interest in because of tumblr? At one point in time I spent a bit too much time looking at pictures of characters played by Jessica Parker Kennedy...... But I'm pretty sure that's just because she's gorgeous, and I like staring at pretty people without them looking back. Which isn't creepy at all. 2. If you could be anywhere else in the entire universe right now, where would you be? Oh god, I don't know.... Maybe at an Inklings meeting, listening to Tolkien and Lewis spew thoughts and readings from their unfinished work, trying to read Amanda McKittrick Ross without laughing. Really: "Holy Moses! Take a look! Flesh decayed in every nook! Some rare bits of brain lie here, Mortal loads of beef and beer." Can you read it and not laugh? I think it's the exclamation of 'Holy Moses!' that gets me, which is unfortunate, because it's the first line. So yes, either that or riding an elephant. It's a plus if the elephant can fly and/or has butterfly wings painted on its ears. Can we be in space? 3. What’s the most memorable thing that happened to you last year? Well, I finally graduated college for multimedia and webmastering. But I rank getting my synth in the mail higher. Hopefully that's not sad. 4. Have you put your Christmas tree away yet? Unfortunately, because of family members who don't like the pagan roots (GOD made the tree, people), we're not allowed to have a Christmas tree while we're here, which is the saddest part of Christmas for me. But once we're out, we shall find the grandest of all Christmas trees, the pineiest of all pines. And we shall love every second of it. As for the Christmas lights, I keep them up until I see fit they come down. 5. Is there a movie that you enjoy that is a guilty pleasure for you? Nope. There are, however, a few TV shows that I'm ashamed to say I've watched. They hold me in their grasps for a few months before I come to my senses and realize how reprehensible it is that I give them a shred of my attention. 6. Are sloths just the best, or are you a nudibranch person? Sloths, for sure. They're so fuzzy! And slow. Though I have to say I had no idea what a nudibranch even was until I typed it into Google. Clown colored sea slugs. God absolutely destroys me when it comes to bizarre. (Extra fun fact: My iPad autocorrected 'nudibranch' to 'nudie ranch', which I find hilarious. I'm an adult, I swear.) 7. Is there something in entertainment (movies, TV shows, books) that you would like to see that hasn’t been made? (Like a sequel to something, or a concept you’d like to see.) I would like to see Spielberg stop with all the crap he's been doing (Super 8 aside) and make cartoons again. I feel like the plot possibilities of the subconscious mind haven't been explored enough. To be honest, I would like the actual ART of writing to return. There's good stories, but I feel the art of the words themselves has been lost somewhat. A Tim Burton Candy Land movie. Also, more space animals. 8. What character in fiction are you most like? I have no idea. You'd probably have to create some bizarre mishmash. Jean Valjean meets Sikowitz? Kermit meets Animal? I kind of feel like Pooh and Tigger and Owl all at the same time... 9. What real life person do you wish you could be like? Joan of Arc. And Da Vinci. And Ella Fitzgerald. And the entire cast of Monty Python's Flying Circus. 10. Is there something about you that no one would guess based on your tumblr? I wrote a theme song for my favorite yellow mug. I also sing to my coffee to make it taste better. And I might be a tad obsessed with elephants and ginger people. Separately, that is. 11. How was your day? :) It was splendid! It involved two cups of coffee, playing historical fiction video games, an avocado sandwich, and writing a new song. All in one day!
