Platform 9¾ was absolutely bustling with both returning students and new students alike. He himself being the later. This was all very new to him and it was hard not to feel the nerves getting to him. As the train slowly rolled into the station, he watched the loving parents hugging and kissing their children goodbye and tried not to let it get to him that neither of his had shown up to offer the same. They were busy people he had to remind himself and trying to situate themselves in their new home in London after spending so much time traveling around the world wasn't easy. Of course they couldn't be here. It was nothing personal. They'd sent him here to be the best that he could be. No pressure. Sighing he pushed himself up from the bench and boarded the train, finding an empty compartment to settle into. It wasn't all too much longer before the train started moving, pulling out of the station and into the bad weather ahead. He leaned his face into his hand and watched the rain pelt the window. A typical dreary day. Peaceful though in its own way. A motion in his jacket pocket and a small black ball of fuzz popped its tiny head out. The kitten curiously took in his surroundings before reaching forward with playful paws to swat at the raindrops as they rolled down the window. He chuckled quietly and stroked a finger behind one small ear. He knew he probably shouldn't have brought the little fuzz ball along, but it couldn't be helped. Leaving him behind was simply not an option.
