oh my god!!! i wish!!! finals are kicking my ass rn but i have not forgotten about KTK! i am hoping to get another chapter out soon. writing starx has been so fun so i have a bunch of motivation to write it, i just need the time lol.
here’s a little snippet of the next chapter so you’re not completely disappointed:
“So, it looks like you’ve got yourself a new friend.” His voice was light. She recognized that he was teasing her.
She felt her face heat up at the implication, “Not a friend,” She defended. “He is working for Slade. I am Slade’s prisoner. We are teammates.”
“Teammates?” Robin questioned, “It seemed like you guys were pretty comfortable with each other.”
“It is not like that!” She blurted. She felt sweaty and she was absolutely sure her face was going to burn off any second.
She could not understand the odd reaction she was having to Robin’s inquiries about Red X. He was a friend, one she needed desperately. She was glad to have someone on her team. It was just that — for whatever reason, she didn’t want Robin to think she had replaced him.
He was grinning at her, “Not like what?”
She couldn’t understand why he was smiling so wide at her. It was as if he thought her nervousness was the funniest thing in the world to him. Part of her thought he’d be more angry at her new ally and the close relationship they had formed.
“Not like… well — you know…” She stammered.
“No, Star. I’m not sure I do know,” He said. The smug grin never left his face.
“Not like us,” She finally managed to bite out.
His teasing smile dropped. He gaped at her, unsure of what to say. The blush finally left her face and she felt her breath hitch in her throat. He was staring at her so intensely, she felt exposed in ways she had never felt before.
“What do you mean, Star?” He finally whispered.
