Ok so I am waiting in the lobby for an appointment today. Very good and normal, yes?
As I wait for my appointment, Small Child and their Mom enter lobby. This is fine and neat and affects me very little.
Small Child tells Mom that she wants to know my name. Mom says Small Child can come and ask me my name. I close my Ao3 tab and brace for social interaction.
You know what Small Child says to Mom?
"But I know she's not alive."
Wtf Small Child I am literally breathing and everything right now! I even remembered to play my idle animation every few seconds!
(Anyway Small Child did eventually ask me my name and I gave it to them because if there's one thing you can count on, it's that I would get kidnapped by a Fae)
