The accidental tribute
In January 2013 I joined the Belvoir hounds for exercise in the snow in Stathern Wood. I took this.
Which I quite liked. I didn’t know why.
Two weeks ago I was incredibly privileged to be invited into a private home to view an art collection. An extraordinary collection: Lionel Edwards, Charles Church, Daniel Crane and above all Sir Alfred Munnings. Originals. My eyes were on stalks.
There I encountered, “The young entry, a snowy road, Woolsthorpe” by Munnings.
Different road and different wood (albeit only a couple of miles distant). Slightly bizarre, no?
