what? he’s fun to draw!
what do you use for Fatal's bones? The static
I use a Film Grain effect in Photoshop! Here’s a real quick step-by-step:
1) First I draw Fatal (or just his hand in this example)
2) Then I use a black to white gradient to fill in the color of his bones. His extremities (fingers, feet, skull, etc) always have the darker part of the gradient
3) Then I go to Filter > Filter Gallery to access a buttload of effects, including the Film Grain effect I always use for his bones
4) In the window that pops up, I select Film Grain under the Artistic category and play around with the different sliders on the right side of the screen, depending on how I want the effect to look
5) And that’s it! It’s a super simple process that ends up looking really neat and like I spent more time on it than I actually did, lol. When you can, work smarter, not harder!
