There were autumn colors all over, and plenty of leaves falling onto the ground. The moment Slaine looked up, he saw one straight above him, and he reflexively caught the orange leaf. It reminded him of a certain somebody—who he happened to be waiting on patiently. It wasn’t like Orange to be late on schedule, but well, Slaine wasn’t exactly looking at the clock either. When he pulled his leaf away from his line of sight, Slaine saw the exact Orange he had his mind on.
“What took you so long?” his thoughts exited his mind. It was clear he wasn’t patient as he hoped to be. Today was supposed to be a day of excitement—the one of the many days they get to do something eventful. Not that life wasn’t already eventful with him around, but it wouldn’t leave them both at home and bickering over almost anything one can think of.
He wondered if Inaho figured out how this Harvest Festival worked (and knowing him, he most likely did). Slaine’s never been in one, and he’s been reading over the pamphlet he received constantly. The events did look fun and easy to understand for beginners like him, but he wouldn’t know for certain until they actually start.
