I made another painting!
It’s a character I’ve been thinking up since yesterday I think. I wanna make a book about them, and they feel like the type of character you would paint.
tbh this isn’t exactly how it naturally turned out. I used a few overlays bc the colors came out bland. I always use overlays, but usually I like my art even before it. This is how they looked before I put them on:
It isn’t horrible. I just prefer rlly saturated colors in my art. The shapes are also a little vague, but it looks pretty good considering I bull-shitted most of this.
I don’t have a name for them yet, but they’re a living statue created by a magical inventor in the woods. They have stone skin, glass bones, and I might add paint that’s nearly completely scratched off. I’m not sure. My vague idea is that one day the statue makes a deal with the bad guy after being tricked, so their mentor is turned to stone, or flowers. They have to venture out into the world to save their mentor before it’s too late and learns that their existence is a crime since sentient automatons are forbidden. Along the way they run into the king of thieves who tries to steal, well, them since he’s interested in their glass bones. There might be a whole “there are six kings and queens of this land” thing going on. I dunno. That’s basically all I came up with.
Lately I’m realizing I kinda such at drawing hair that isn’t afro-centric. The hairstyles I can do feel very limited bc I never bothered to learn much about how it works. I wanna learn more about it so I can draw hairstyles and they actually turn out how I want them to.
