Whumpee who can hear what people are saying about them it, but can't communicate back. Whumpee who other people don't even realize is human, whumpee who other people just assume is a normal statue. Whumpee who is treated like a valuable, precious and lovable thing. do you get me

Bonus idea: Whumper frames Whumpee's disappearance as a death, and Whumpee's friends and family see the statue as a memoriam of them. Whumpee wanting to tell them I'm alive! I've been kidnapped by Whumper! but... alas.
