Indigenous Peoples Day, NY *Grow* 5 years gathering with my spirit family, Sol sisters. It has grown, and so have we. Being here allows my soul to witness a Way of being that feels familiar, despite not having lived it, in this lifetime. Indigenous, Native, First peoples of this land are here existing through generations of resistance against political, military, economic, spiritual, societal annihilation. Kin, taken from their families, put in boarding schools and forced to forget their language, hair cut, land stolen, bodies beaten. And still Life lives and spirit teaches *Learn:* The fire lives The moon lives The grass lives The bird that cries to warn you to pay attention- did that on purpose. We know this. We call it signs. What if we believed them? Every time. Our grandmother's cured us with herbs, plants have intelligence and feelings and a stories Plants live And you and me, we can speak without words, we love in the distance. Our spirits dance together in dreams No one taught us this growing up. Many of our parents had to fight wars, immigrate, financial battle to survive. Spirit placed in a box next to Other. Even the progressive movements discounted the power of prayer. This was my foundation. A Red Diaper baby. My parents were revolutionaries and resisters against military intervention on some real stuff. It was never funny to me. *Move* The movement was my life and it burnt me out because there were few tools to deal with personal trauma How to make the world anew, if we use the same tactics of our oppressors? Oppression comes for our Souls Oppression comes for our souls But I know many on a quest for truth beyond this concrete existence. We Refuse to live in a world without spirit. Refuse to conform to the beliefs of transactional capitalism. Refuse to profit from exploitation of people and land. Our refusal is fuel for creation. #IndigenousPeoplesDay is testament, testimony that magic exists in pockets of solidarity that wish to weave a blanket big enough to keep us warm. Love after 911

I'd like to take a moment to acknowledge the people who lost their lives on 9/11 in the U.S. as well as in Chile in 1973 during a U.S. backed military attack to topple the state. May we be able to raise awareness about how horrible invasions and violence really is. It's the closest we've gotten here in U.S. soil to understanding what so many people are going through around the world. There are people whose constant reality is war, invasion, hunger, sanctions. Can you imagine praying for cloudy days just so that drones can't come and bomb you that day? At least that day. Can you imagine everyday being 9/11?

I send Love love love to those who lost lives in heroic sacrifices and through tragic endings right in NYC and their families. Because I know first hand what it feels to be attacked in your own home. And I LOVE New York City and all of the amazing people I have met in this country. So many people fighting for justice. I would never have known that about the U.S. had I not lived it. So many people abroad think this country is filled with mean people that don't care about the world. Mainly because we help sponsor these things. I help sponsor them, just by contributing to the system.

I'll end with this. I haven't been speaking my truth on these mediums for a long time and that is going to change. Because speaking my truth is my way of showing love to the world and to MYSELF. May we stand united, may we struggle to eradicate violence being done in our name.
