This week we are hosting Child Safety workshops to our youth students in Brentwood. We are sitting with the kids and discussing current issues that are, unfortunately, a reality of life these days. . The expression SITUATIONAL AWARENESS is what comes to mind when the subject is self-defense, crime prevention and community safety. With that said, we strive to continue developing an increased sense of this important line of defense in all of our students, at all times, anywhere. . We are talking about gut feeling, strangers and ways a stranger can lure them, plans of action should they come across someone who’s trying to harm and/or kidnap them, alerting grown naps and 911 calls. . In the teens program we’re adding internet predators and luring strategies they may use, school shootings, and the importance of assertively taking action and alerting authority figures should they ever see or feel that something is wrong. .
