It had been days since Maerwen had left the comfort of her home. It was a bit sad that she didn't know how big the world actually was, for she had been so accustomed to Lothlorien for so long. As the sky grew dark, the young elf decided to settle down and make camp. She could feel her eyes grow weary, but nonetheless she stayed on alert. Maerwen could hear the rustle of leaves nearby and it put her on edge. Pulling out her small blade, she gripped it tightly, ready to strike as her eyes settled on a set of bushes.

The ranger crept silently in the rafters of the room, carefully guiding himself until he was just above his fair haired friend before he leapt from the beams to land on his back. "Legolas, my brother, how are you?!" He asked, wrapping his legs around his waist as he latched onto him.
A small cry of alarm escaped him as the heavy weight of a human struck his back. In a moment, however, Legolas was recovered. With remarkable speed, he shifted the position of his arms and shoved out against Abrazîr's legs, tumbling intentionally down to the floor in an attempt to pin the ranger to the wood. "Better," he exclaimed good-naturedly, "than you will be in a moment, brother. Did no one teach you not to attack an elf unawares?"
