PC steadies this week after a stronger fortnight
PC ended the week unchanged at Rs 158/kg, pausing after a short run of improvement earlier in January. Indian PC prices have gained Rs 5/kg over the past two weeks, rising from Rs 153/kg on 13 Jan 2026, even as the week-on-week line holds flat. That leaves the market in a clearer near-term position for buyers who monitor weekly benchmarks.
On a month view, the price is Rs 2/kg lower than Rs 160/kg on 27 Dec 2025, showing that the recovery has not fully offset earlier weakness. Over the last 30 days, PC traded near a recent high around Rs 160/kg and stayed close to a recent low near Rs 152/kg, so the month window shows a wider spread than the weekly move suggests. The three-month comparison remains the dominant feature, with the latest level Rs 74/kg below Rs 232/kg on 29 Oct 2025; six months back it is Rs 51/kg lower than Rs 209/kg on 31 Jul 2025. Year on year, PC is Rs 56/kg below Rs 214/kg on 27 Jan 2025. PC prices in India therefore carry a stable weekly close within a much softer longer trend, useful for contract resets and budget variance tracking, PC, PC Market, PC Prices, Steadies Weekly, Stronger Fortnight, Polymer Market, Petrochemical Update.
