Hello! I was wondering what your opinion on Midday and Dusk Lycanroc is
another cool party dog@dailydusklycanrocc
Do you have any tips for aspiring artisis?
Disclaimer: these are personal tips, NOT professional advice.
• DRAW! It may sound like common sense, but trust me, the more you consistently and mindfully draw, the better you become.
• Mindfully draw - don’t mindlessly scribble. Pay attention to your technique! It’s easier to figure out how you want to change things if you remember what you did and how you did it! (eg. I didn’t like how I drew the snoot in that last picture. Let me try also doing ___ instead of just ___ like i did last time.)
• If you post your art, DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT use “notes” as a measure of your skill or ability. Those numbers are impossible to ignore by human nature, but it will be well worth the effort to try to block out their influence.
• Looking at another artist and thinking “i’ll never be able to do that” is seldom helpful to your wellbeing. Instead, go for something like “if i put in enough blood, sweat and tears, i will eventually be able to do that”.
• An addendum to this last point: make sure your expectations are in line with reality. Do not expect to be able to catch up to someone who has dedicated their entire life to art by only drawing for a year - you simply won’t be able to cram that much blood, sweat, and tears into that timeframe. Realistic expectations help boost your morale as you meet them!
• Aim to be the best that you yourself can be.“Do not fear moving forward slowly; fear only to stand still.”
Do you have any tips for drawing floofy hair like that?
most important step is figuring out the hairstyle, this way you know what shape you are looking for and you can adjust it to be more fluffy and messy.i usually start with the fringe, then starting from the bottom i go up, making a few of fluffy chunks. the more unmantained it is, the better it looks in my opinion!
