Hey :) what was the essex serpent like? I was considering buying it a while ago, but still haven't, was it a nice book?

Hi! I have to admit I was expecting something different, so in the end it was just an ok read for me. I thought it would be a very adventurous book, but even if there is mystery (and some very good creepy scenes), the main focus is on characters’ inner life and love relationships. The atmosphere and characters are all great, so if you’re looking for these things you should buy it :)

I saw you reblogged the folie a deux lyric post from me and youre so right, folie is underrated!!! I love it, and that song , yes, just yes

Oh my gosh THANK YOU! I think Folie is some of their best work. The lyrics are really powerful and they way they use drums really impacts me! Like ok in Headfirst Slide, during the chorus, right after the line, “Keep a calendar, this way you will always know,” when the line, “The last time you came through,” starts and the drums come in, it’s just like W O A H!!!!! We actually talked about ‘moments’ in music in my AP English class, like, the moments in songs that really resound with you, and my teacher let everyone play a moment for the class and that’s what I chose! And don’t even get me started on What A Catch, Donnie. Especially at the end when they bring in the other artists. I discovered it was binaural when playing it in my car for the first time and I’d never listened with headphones and I kinda got teary tbh… That’s one of those songs that needs to be listened to with headphones or over car speakers. Like Northern Downpour. But yeah Headfirst Slide, What A Catch, Donnie, (Coffee’s For Closers), 27, and Disloyal Order have some of my very favorite lyrics and they mean a lot to me, hahaha I could honestly keep going about them if I didnt feel like I was rambling.
