Excited to share the latest addition to my #etsy shop: Steam Pump Pen - Pink Juma It's been a long time since I posted a new and even longer still since I added any significantly new styles of pens to my inventory. Today I'm adding a new style of Steampunk pen to my lineup. Known as the Steampump pen, this one has an AMAZING amount of detail work on the hardware. From the detail work of the pump handle click action, to the clock face and gears engraved into the hardware, there's always something new to look at. Paired with thus new Steampump hardware is a new kind of acrylic known as Juma. Patterned to look like dragon scales, and in a bright pink, I think it pairs well with the Steampunk style and is geared a bit more towards the ladies. Ladies love science fiction/fantasy/steampunk too! While another pen like this may come along some day, I can guarantee there's not another like this out there. Excited to share the latest addition to my #etsy shop: Circuit Board Steampunk Pen - Green on Brass I'm feeling like it's another Steampunk kind of day. While I'm not entirely certain what criteria must be met for a day to be considered "a Steampunk kind of day", I am sure there's no such thing as a bad day for Steampunk, so what the heck. Today's pen is another of the circuit board pens I make. While circuit boards and Steampunk might seem like they don't go together to some, this combination seems to work so well on a visual level. The body of this pen is made from an actual circuit board that has had the back side ground down until it's paper thin. It's then wrapped around a brass tube and cast in acrylic. The very nicely detailed hardware is a brass finish with copper and pewter highlights. Trust me when I say you're not likely to run into one like it while showing this pen off. The ink refill itself is a ballpoint with a bolt action style clicker. Excited to share the latest addition to my #etsy shop: Steampunk Pen - Hammered Stainless Steel on Pewter I can never stay away from the Steampunk pens for long. While a busy life and finances don't allow me to do the Comicon/Science Fiction/Fantasy conventions these days, I still have an undying love for the world of Steampunk. Today's pen represents one of my first ventures into the realm of all metal pens. I've done several prototypes that were never pictured or put up for sale, but I'm most proud of this one. The hardware is primarily pewter finish with copper highlights. The body was turned from solid stainless steel. It was then given a "hammered" finish and flame polished to give it more of a subdued gunmetal color.
