Was your url inspired by anything specific?

that’s a big of a long story all together. My URL was an attempt to migrate away from my past back when I was a shitty 4chan edgelord who ran a really shitty gorn blog. In short I was a bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad person.

So! in an attempt to get away from my old self I decided to craft a new identity that would reflect my change of heart.

I recently had gotten into a band called Between the Buried and Me and their album Alaska was constantly sort of bouncing around in my head. I came to settle on a track called “Selkies: The Endless Obsession” which seemed super fitting all things considered.

This entered a tentative period where I switched my url over to SelkieWings for like a week and after realizing that that didn’t slip off the tongue so good I went with the consonance that was SelkieCide. And it stuck!

Hey it wasn’t that long of a story after all how about that

@steamykins Basic concept is a “Jinxed” Genasi who’s magical heritage is all kinds of messed up (for whatever reason) and once every 24 hours they have to roll a d4 to see which elemental powers they’ll be able to use that day, but I only roll as soon as I decide I want to use one of my racial traits. Ex: if I wanted to use shape water and I hadn’t rolled yet that day, I’d have to roll and if I ended up rolling fire or earth or air I’d have to cast whatever spell goes with the rolled element. It could make for some chaos and fun role play opportunities.

I’m still not sure what class I’m going to play as, but I’d like to make it so if I choose a magic user, depending on what element I roll that day, i couldn’t use any spells that weren’t that element. Otherwise being “jinxed” means nothing.

I sent the first draft to the DM, so once I hear back and make any changes I need to, I’d totally post it for people to play if they wanted to use it.

SEE had I known what that was in high school I probs would have gone with that because at the time I was still going to church so in my head I just thought I wasn’t allowed to be anything but straight. Which is why when I found out what asexuality was I went with that. Because if I don’t like dudes I don’t like anyone, right???

The publishers said that wouldn't look as good and even then, the one large katakana would have the same issue..
