“What do you want to talk to me about?” Blair inquired. She spun her chair towards Stella. There was something bizarre, she noted, about her friend’s behavior when she stepped into her room while she was doing things on her desktop computer. She seemed a bit trouble, Blair thought, waiting on her friend to say something.

Of the princes of Lothian, Gawain was the most eligible for marriage, his older brothers had already been married, his younger brothers were still rather young, his sisters were also far too young, and above all, it seemed women took a liking to him. Because of this, his mother and father had set up a meeting with the king and queen of a neighboring kingdom to speak of possible alliance together and unbeknownst to their children, a possible marriage between them. Soon after they arrived, Gawain had found himself being introduced to the princess and bowed deeply, gently kissing the back of her hand as was customary. “My lady, I’m pleased to meet you, I’ve heard only wonderful things,” he stated, causing both sets of parents to mutter to each other about how much chemistry they had already.

Stella’s mother decided to introduce a way the two could spend more time together. “Stella darling, why don’t you show Prince Gawain to the room we’ve prepared for him, the one next to yours. Maybe show him around the grounds a bit, us four here have much to discuss,” she said, giving her daughter a smile, finding even herself somewhat taken aback by the Prince’s charm and beauty.

“Hola Stella, it’s me!” Mirabel knocks on the nursery door before stepping in. Peeking before walking in, she sits on her bed and smiles, facing her prima with a bright smile. 

“Today is the day! Casita made your doorframe! Are you excited to see what gift you get?” Mira grins wide, perhaps a little forced. Her excitement for her cousin is genuine though. It’s been awhile since her Tía Pepa adopted the girl, and she’s grown to become a great addition to the Madrigal family.

It seems Casita agrees if the sudden preparations of a Gift Ceremony went underway today.
