OKAY bc I finally settled on their age gap and it's pretty significant, I've been making changes to her relationship with their mother too lol. Basically:
Elizabeth Prentiss sees her as her "second try" bc Emily was so headstrong and stubborn in her ways. Reader is a lot more receptive to the potential socialite/political future that Emily despised.
Actually lowkey enjoys it. She looooves galas and parties and people watches during those times. Loooooves getting all dolled up and pretty.
Wildly competitive!!! Part of the organized varsity for Yale (debating between tennis or swimming, leaning more towards swimming bc it's something she can do by herself) and also practices jiu jitsu
That said, YES SHE WENT TO YALE!!! ANOTHER POINT OF CONTENTION WITH SPENCER bc that was only his "safety school" which he likes to rub in as a sign of superiority lol.
Speaks multiple languages but only conversationally, never quite masters them like Emily which is another factor why she can't seem to impress their mom. Everything she tries, Emily already did better.
Has an infinitely better accent than Spencer though, so she takes that as a win lol.
