Well. Things weren't going according to plan. It was supposed to be she simply was off of work and he would drive her home. Then… This asshole shows up ruining the whole plan. Which is how he was currently hunched over, hand resting on the car… He right in front of Minako from blocking the bullet that had been met for her.
The problem was, the blocked shot has pierced him through the vital organ known as the heart. He attempts to get out a word of warning to the idol, but time had dictated that he needed to just s t o p a moment.
So thus, he slumps to the cement covered ground, blackness overtaking him… Until… Not a sound is heard… Nor is pain felt.
A few seconds pass, before he sharply intakes a breath of air, he coughing a few times before he gets to his feet, anger surging through him.
❝ Stay here. I'll be back in five minutes. Keep the car closed && locked. …When I return I'll explain. ❞
Without another word, he moves with inhuman speed, quickly accessing the scene. They had been in the parking garage on one of the upper floors… Meaning the shooter had to be across the way in another building, likely already on the move upon realizing his attempt had failed. Likely was taking a back escape route with the least amount of traffic. Well… Blade had his own advantage.
The shadows welcomed him.
So thus he slips into the shadows in pursuit of his target… Which unfortunately for the assassin… He was clearly green in this field. Blade could hear his heavy, frantic breathing as he ran… In fear.
Not that it would save him when he makes the mistake of a dead end alley, the bodyguard surfacing from the nearby wall to grab him by the throat, slamming him into the brick wall. The brick cracks from the impact, the man squirming to try to get away from the demon's grasp…
As he started to plead for his life, Blade carefully pondered his choices here. He had a feeling this was either just a fanatic who had slipped off the deep end or this was potentially a distraction from something more dangerous. Either way…. He could tell he'd get no useful information from him… But he couldn't let him just crawl his way back to whatever shithole he had come out of.
His sword is summoned in his free hand && in one smooth motion he plunges it into the man's abdomen, before slicing up at a diagonal. He lets the body fall to the ground… A snap of his fingers… Only ash remained now. Another snap… His clothing was now clean of any blood ( both his own && his victim's ), his sword also disappearing from view. A deep breath is taken in… Before slowly let out to calm himself. The last thing he needed to do was to scare the poor Venus. A moment longer to make sure everything was account for, he takes the shadows back to where they were parked, he getting in the driver's seat now.
Door closes, he turning in the chair to study her in the backseat… She was pale. Scared… Concerned. All within reason.
❝ First things first… Are you uninjured? ❞
