I was checking the NASA internships website to see if they’d posted any new internship opportunities, and there was a new one that’s right up my alley! They give preference to NCAS alums, which I am! 

It’s with the Stennis Space Center, with their Office of STEM Engagement. I have a ton of outreach and STEM education experience! Plus, if the people going through the candidates/intern applications are some of the same people that ran NCAS this past session, they know who I am! So that’s a big plus and likelihood that I could be picked to work this job.

We had to revert back our student laptops to Solidworks 18 due to the fact that the 19-20 version had so much delay and constant freezing. My task at work this afternoon is booting up all the laptops and just checking that our IT department successfully changed the program, and to model some basic shapes to check processing speed.

Planning a high school deep dive activity for statistics! Launching it this fall. How do you get kids interested in learning stats, you ask? Turn it into creating a carnival game, building it at the local college, and testing it out!
