How do you get into STEM? Is it a college thing? I've been in PLTW is but that's just a small branch of stem I think

You just get involved in any associated field! For many people this happens in college, because most people get involved by majoring in a STEM field and working in one of those fields either during or after college, possibly continuing on into graduate school and beyond. But if you are involved in science, technology, engineering, or math at any level you are part of STEM!
