Once again, I am late to an event! This year’s @steoevents theme was ‘written in the stars’ so I thought some Steo stargazing would be cute! (I originally had an entirely different idea but ran out of time and it wasn’t on theme. -__-)

STEO DAY

Guess what? It’s June, and that means our second annual SteoDay is around the corner! We can’t believe it’s almost a year since we had our first SteoDay. We’re even more excited to bring it back! Just like last time, this event takes place on Tuesday, 06/29/2021!

Last time, our prompt was ‘At First Sight’ because June 29 was the day Theo and Stiles first met on screen. This time, we chose the following theme:

Theo is tired of not having friends. I mean it’s predictable. He is the kid with the heart condition who spends more time in the hospital than at school. He just wishes to have a normal life.

One of those nights when he hears his parents arguing about him and all the problems he causes to the family, he runs away from home, ending in the preserve.

He finds a big and beautiful tree. Theo swears he could almost hear a voice calling him to come closer. He gets enchanted by the fireflies in the place, and finds a jar next to the tree with a green firefly trapped inside.

His parents find him eventually but Theo manages to take the jar with the firefly home.

Stiles can’t believe it, finally, he is finally free. Well not free completely, he is still in the stupid jar but sure the kid who picked him from the Nemeton will open the container to let the firefly free and then Stiles can try and figure out how to go back to his usual shape.

First thing he is going to do after getting out of his prison is to look for that stupid witch who trapped him, and possibly (more surely) kill her. Sure Stiles had created a little bit of chaos in the town, but he is a Nogitsune and that’s what he craves. He is also young so he can’t really be blamed for having no control or filter. He wants pain and chaos he takes and creates pain and chaos, it’s how it works.

Speaking of pain, the kid who took him is surely a great supplier of that. Not only physical pain but emotional one as well, Stiles feeds a little bit on him every time he comes to speak to the firefly by the window.

The boy is alone, no friends and a horrible family who pays no attention to him and treats him like shit. Stiles did not mean to but he got attached to him, maybe once he manage to break free he can help Theo by making his parents disappear in an accident or something.

But first things first, out of the jar and out of the firefly situation. Apparently Theo was going to help with both of those.

“Oh look a star, they say that if you make a wish it will come true. I wish to have a friend, just one. Someone to love” Theo wishes.

What Theo doesn’t know it’s that shooting stars are magical.

Theo woke up tired. Going to school is always tiring to him, but this morning specially sucks. He doesn’t know how but his firefly escaped from the jar, he saw it this morning when he went to wish it good morning. He knows that it’s just a firefly but Theo really liked it and sometimes he was sure that the firefly listened to him. It was the closest thing to a friend.

Going back home, Theo sees a little furry thing on the road, thinking it’s a dog Theo comes closer but he discovers that it is a fox, a black and beautiful fox. The fox looks insensibly at Theo but it doesn’t attack. Its eyes are amber and they look quite human-like to Theo.

Theo sees the fox many times after that but no one else manages to catch him, Theo’s parents get irritated by him, thinking he is imagining it all. Tara says that there are no foxes in Beacon Hills. But the fox is still there, like watching him from a distance.

In one of his visits to the hospital the fox is there, as if waiting for him to arrive.

“You don’t have to hide, we can be friends” Theo says but as always the fox leaves when his parents come closer.

Later, waiting in a room while his parents talk to the doctor Theo feels a presence behind him.

“Hey” a boy around Theo’s age says. Cute with pale skin and little moles on his body. He has never seen him before.

“Hey” Theo responds.

“You look sad” the boy adds.

“It’s a hospital, everyone looks sad” Theo says.

The boy smiles. “I’m Stiles”

“Theo” Theo introduces himself. “Why are you here? Are you sick?” He asks

“No. I’m just visiting” Stiles explains.

“If I had a choice I wouldn’t enter a hospital ever” Theo says.

“I’m used to being surrounded by people in pain” Stiles claims. “Hey, so you want to be friends?” The boy asks.

Theo is shocked by the question. He looks at Stiles with a confused expression, but then he meets the boys eyes and they are amber. He has seen those eyes before. “Are you… it’s not possible…” Theo mutters

Stiles smirks. “Anything can be possible if you wish it really hard. Especially if you wish it upon a star” Stiles declares. The boys eyes meet again. “You don’t need to be in pain anymore, I’ll make sure of it” Stiles promises standing his hand to Theo.

Theo doesn’t doubt for a second, he takes Stiles’s hand and does not look back.
