#Repost @hetmanski_hobbies with @get_repost ・・・ My Stepcraft D.840 CNC machine has been cranking out some pretty sweet parts. I’ve had the most fun with carbon fiber. I used it to make perfect carbon fiber rear shock towers, battery tray, receiver/shifter mount, winch controller mount and speed control mount for my Traxxas TRX-4. The parts bar turned a truck that was pretty cool to a truck that is REALLY cool. Pretty soon I’ll be cutting carbon parts in a water bath and not having to worry about carbon dust getting everywhere. I wasn't happy with the first servo mount that I made so I decided to make another one. I've learned a lot since I made the fist one and still have some minor issues to address. Had some issues with my Stepcraft-2/840 CNC machine and ended up with some scrap aluminum because of it. Stepcraft support was on top of it and helped me fix the Kevin related issues. This time I ran my chassis tool paths on a piece of wood and it's dialed in. Ready to go back to aluminum. #stepcraftcnc #stepcraftusa #stepcraftgermany #stepcraft840 #dialedin

#Repost @hetmanski_hobbies with @get_repost ・・・ Here's the process of making my servo mount and I'm pretty happy with the result. The bad news is that the holes and shape of the part are off slightly but the good news is that I know what I did wrong. I can make it work so I'm going to leave it as is and move on so I can try to get this truck done in time. It only weighs 10 grams.
