Rest in Peace to Steph Bowe, a wonderful Australian YA writer who passed away earlier today (Jan 20th 2020)

I didn’t know Steph personally but I felt such a kinship with her since we were nearly the same age. I remember reading Girl Saves Boy and being utterly amazed at how realistic the characters felt in relation to how I’d been as a teenager. Hers were some of the first Australian YA novels I fell in love with that got me invested in #LoveOzYA and Night Swimming was one of my favourite reads in 2019. 

If you’re looking for a quick, engaging, unusual read, consider picking up one of Steph’s books and see her unique perspective on the world. It is a tragedy that we will not get to read any more of her beautiful words 🕯RIP
