Your usual “sleep well tonight!” Texts always make her smile soften, even when she's banged up from patrol and exhausted.

Yearning!Stephanie who feels her face heat up whenever your hand brushes hers when you pass her something, or when you're walking alongside her and your fingers brush against hers. She can almost imagine how your hand in hers would feel, how easily your fingers would fit between her own.

Yearning!Stephanie who can't help but let her gaze drop to your lips as you speak, imagining how they'd feel against her own. How right it would feel to just lean over and….

Yearning!Stephanie who watches you from a rooftop when she's on patrol and knows you're out late. She tells herself she's just making sure you make it home safely, but really, she's just so enthralled by the way you interact with your friends or the way you walk so confidently even at night in Gotham City of all places. And yeah, she'll watch you all the way until you're safely back in your apartment.

Yearning!Stephanie that saves mementos from your hang outs; ticket stubs from the horror movie she dragged you to and the receipt from the first time she took you out to her favorite place to grab a bite to eat and the ChapStick you let her borrow that she never remembered to give back.

Yearning!Stephanie who's down so bad for you and everything that has to do with you. Your smile. Your voice. Your laugh. That little scowl you get when you're annoyed. The way you roll your eyes when she makes a joke she knows is bad. She's enamored by everything about you.

"So…" Stephanie trails off in a way that's both teasing and hesitant, "Do you guys usually date another person, or am I special?"

You smirk at her, turning to look at her from your place next to her on the couch. You reach out a hand, and she takes it, letting you pull her closer. "Oh, baby, you are beyond special." Stephanie looks at you from behind her glasses, quietly looking for reassurance. She would get it, obviously, but you weren't about to pass up flirting with her a little. Evan wouldn't either, if he were in the room. "But no, we don't usually date other people. Only happened one other time. Both were happy surprises." You laugh a little at the end of your response, taking in the way Stephanie seems to relax.

She knew about Jessie, obviously, but there could have been people before her. You wouldn't blame her for asking; you were sure that you would do the same thing. If you and Evan hadn't gotten together in high school, you know the question would have come up, and it definitely would have if you were in Jessie or Steph's position.

"Happy surprises, huh?" Stephanie lets herself fully lean into you now, head angled up to keep looking at you with her pretty doe eyes that always managed to distract you.

"The happiest, baby." You use what little leverage the corner of the couch gives you to pull her into your lap. Insecurity and anything close to it always leaves you feeling clingy, and while Stephanie might not feel the same way, she doesn't push you away. She's happy to be tucked away in your arms, feeling the love you have for her. "We love you so much, you know that, right? Like, no matter what?"

She squeezes you, forehead resting against the side of your neck. "Of course. And I love you guys, too."

Before a comfortable silence could settle between you two, heavy footsteps sound in the room, and with the most audible smile you think you've heard in ages, Evan goes, "Hell yeah, you do!"

Stephanie's head comedically pops up as you both look at Evan coming into the living room, his smile just as big as it sounded.

"Hey, pretty boy!" You smile, watching him walk towards the two of you, crouching on the floor in front of where you and Stephanie sat on the couch. "How are you? How are the boys?"

Evan's hand reaches and rests on Steph's back and he shrugs, looking at the wholesome, domestic scene in front of him. "We're all alive." You nod, not knowing what else there is to say. Your lives were seemingly nothing but chaos lately. As far as you were concerned, alive was a good answer. "Now… You guys should scoot over or we should go into our room. I wanna get in on this."

Mia has no dating experience. She never thought she would need some. But when you came into her life, you turned it 180 degrees. You give her butterflies. Skateboarding together, you always have so much fun while doing it. Her brother is teasing her because she is often mumbling about you without realizing it. Horse riding. Cuddles are very important to her. It's kind of intimity she loves. Camping and climbing everywhere you two can. She will play with your hair. Watching horror movies and documentaries about animals. Emma likes to draw beautiful things, so most of her paintings are inspired by you. But drawing you is her favourite thing. Playing with Chico and making him new toys. Stephanie is cool with dating but still she is not the most skilled. She loves making you happy. Playing basketball together. Playing lots of sports together overall. Going on a walk with Dash.
