I did and I'm so glad she is pursuing divorce. I in no way blame her for what happened, he is a complete idiot scumbag loser, but I wish I could broadcast a message into the minds of any woman who is in or is considering being in a relationship with an ultra-conservative man: whatever he says about women, he means you too, no matter what he's telling you in private. And if he really believes in what he's saying, that men should be the dominant ones and women should be submissive, he will pursue that idea to your detriment.
Even if his wife also believed women should be subservient to men, despite all of the truly horrible things he's said about women, I'm sure she thought there would be some line or exception for her if he loved her (like uhhhh being EIGHT MONTHS PREGNANT). Like maybe in serious circumstances, he'd drop the Zeta Male act and give her grace, or treat her like a person who deserves respect. But yea the really sad truth of it is that men who are this into that kind of ideology care more about maintaining said ideology than they do respecting their female partners as human beings, we've seen it time and time again and we'll keep seeing it until these sexist idiot fucking bozos are eradicated from the earth.
