Who's that?
Name: Stephen Crowe
Relation: Step father/abuser
Bio: Stephen came into Lizzie’s life shortly after the divorce between her parents. She lived with him and her mother in New York while her father traveled around for his work. Her mother had won custody over her because she was the one with the ‘steadier’ life. But no one saw the abuse coming. No one could have predicted that this charming 40-something year old would start sneaking into Lizzie’s room at night. Keeping her mouth tightly shut with threats, Lizzie let the abuse continue. But after a particularly gruesome night, Lizzie attempted to tell her mom what he’d been doing to her. Believing it to be her fault, her mother decided to make her pay for ‘seducing’ Stephen and trying to steal him away from her. The school started to notice the marks Lizzie left on herself and contacted her father. Her father immediately came home and went to court to win full custody over Lizzie. Stephen is still with his mother, but Lizzie is now fully under her father’s custody who sent her here after seeing her self-harm marks.
