The inconsiderate left My left eye is tearing away, right is going nowhere. They are not working together these days, left is attempting to break free. A gentle jolt out of the socket, a thin thread connection to my brain. Right takes an armchair, stubborn comfortable placement. A turn here and there is fine but no intent to move. Right strains to judge depth, without its opposite. * Stephen Daniels was born in Swindon, England in 1980. From a postmodern perspective, landscape seems less like a palimpsest whose "real" or "authentic" meanings can somehow be recovered with the correct techniques, theories or ideologies, than a flickering text displayed on the word-processor screen whose meaning can be created, extended, and altered, elaborated and finally obliterated by the nearest touch of a button.
