Stephen Neeley is the son of billionaire Andrew Neeley, founder and CEO of Neeley Corp and currently eighth richest person in the world. Being the son of such an important, rich and charismatic bachelor brought its own set of expectations from the moment he was born. He was born on December 1st, and less than two weeks later, he was half an orphan. His mother suffered from postnatal psychosis and with the workaholic Andrew not around, she took her own life. That’s when the dynamic changed. Despite Andrew working long hours, he truly cared for Stephen, at least he had for those first nine days. The moment he got the call from one of the maids, there developed a deep hatred for his son within him. Stephen was the reason he had lost the love of his life.
Stephen was brought up by nannies, maids and teachers, who changed regularly and never stayed long enough for Stephen to truly become close to them. The only time he saw his father was for official events where he was expected to attend and when he got himself in trouble or had one of his destructive episodes. The day of the examination came and before Stephen got the results himself, his father went in alone. Not much later, he got the D tattoo’d on his wrist, unbeknownst that his results had shown that it should be an ’s’. His father sent him away to a private boarding school, where Stephen felt out of place, but happy to be away from home. It was there that he began experimenting with drugs and alcohol and tried copious different sorts, often enough getting into trouble. He was sent overseas for business courses over the summer and rarely saw his father. He finished high school and by the end of it, he was the most popular guy there. Mostly because he threw his money around and shared with his friends.
Now officially kicked out of five different universities, he comes to St. Brendan for a new start.
