Mobile Navigation Ever since the Submissive Gene was discovered to be a part of the human genome, there has been unbalance between Dominants and submissives. For hundreds of years, Dominants have held all of the power - and been allowed to wield it however they saw fit - while submissives have been systematically stripped of their rights and pushed further and further into societal obscurity. But when one half of a nation has undisputed authority over the other, things rarely run smoothly. Two powerful political parties have now emerged: the Traditionalists who want to retain the shrinking power base of the Dominants, and the Liberals who want to see greater balance between the two designations. There is also a third, less vocal but still distinct group of individuals who advocate for the growing identity of the Switch - or those who are able to shift freely between Dominance and submission. Switches are generally rejected by Traditionalists as too far outside the established norm, but not all Liberals see 'Switch' as a valid identity either. Now the pendulum of society is finally swinging the other way. Laws are being passed to grant submissives the rights they've been denied for centuries, but many Traditionalists continue to fight every step of the way. Run by the mysterious group known only as the Equity Council, St Brendan's Academy is a privately funded social experiment. The first and only one of its kind. Its purpose is to determine whether giving submissives back their rights (beginning with a proper education) will complement their submissive natures or simply make them more difficult for Dominants to control. Society itself is changing. A nation's laws are being rewritten.
