hregfd if you remember the 1231424 foursome asks from a while back that i sent, i wanted you to know i still freaking think about that like four times a week
tbh, same. I’ll get around to writing it eventually lol
so was thinking of you today bc my dentist has a tv in the waiting room that just plays cute animal vids with bruce springsteen music over it (bc this is jersey).
please tell your dentist that he is the most valid dental health professional in the entire world
what kind of kinks do u think dratchet does? mostly asking bc i've realized i've now read THREE fics where ratchet threatens to take someone over his knee and now i can't stop thinking about it lol
*laughs* I bet I know the fics you mean. Only with Ratchet, I think there’s a difference between threatening to take someone over his knee and actually doing it. He’s the kind of guy who loves to tease and provoke and whip his weight in arguments, and I could see him aiming the occasional wallop at Drift’s unguarded tush out of sheer devilment. But ritualized spanking as a kink thing? Probably not.
If they do run to kinks, for Drift it’s probably praise (he’s such a pleaser). And for Ratchet? Well, let’s be real. He likes it when Drift bites.
I believe in Kiyoko’s stuff spark bonds are pretty much forever unless one side dies or befalls some sort of tragedy. Like, in Tangled Destiny, Skyfire’s bond still doesn’t break even after Starscream has been encased in ice for millions of years. And I still love scenes like the one where Skyfire gets so mad about Ratchets comments on his bond that he nearly attacks him, that’s a powerful scene.
It’s more the idea bonds can be voluntarily broken, like if a relationship goes sour or it’s just not working out what are you going to do then? It doesn’t seem to come up in Kiyoko’s fics. I know Pink_Shoes headcanons it so that you can break bonds if you want to (I just think it hasn’t been directly mentioned in her fics). It’s more a personal preference thing really, but I just can’t help but think bonds could go really wrong in the wrong circumstances, and like with any relationship you should be able to change your mind. (In fact I was working on some dark bond stuff with SG SkyStar, which is not a good relationship and SG Star deserves not to have his soul tied to SG Sky forever).
Like I say, it’s personal preference but the idea of being trapped in a relationship forever even if you want to leave feels more terrifying than romantic.
I saw your post asking for prompts so- *slides paper toward you with 'shockop with orion realizing he's in love' written on it*
sorry this took a while ;-;
As the sun hung long on the horizon for the oncoming evening, Orion Pax sat on a bench by the Ark-1 memorial. The air was cool for that time of year, and he puffed up his plating just enough to allow a breeze to flow through hot systems. Others milled around the memorial, chattering groups of friends enjoying the pleasant twilight on their off hours before they had to return home.
Orion's hand shifted along the empty expanse of metal beside him, checking the time as he had for the past several minutes. Shockwave was late, as he near always was. Busy with senate matters being the most likely cause, caught up in bureaucracy in way that would send him to their meetings with yet more to complain about. Thought sometimes he had been late for the sheer fact he'd been a little too busy preening in preparation. Not that Orion mattered much either way.
This particular meeting was not so much relating to their less than legal activities, though there was a near inevitability that their conversations would wander down that path as they always tended to. Instead it was, as Shockwave had proposed, just a night for them to spend time together. As friends.
It was not much longer before Orion caught sight of the Senator, weaving through the groups of other 'bots with smiled greetings and polite nods to those he passed. He looked the same as always; carefully kept paint job shining in the streetlights that had just begun to flicker on, same colors as they were last time they had spoken. Vain and straight backed and every inch the senator.
"Pax!" he called cheerfully, kibble twitching as he closed the distance between them. There was relief in the ease of his smile and the bounce of his step, and he slid on the space beside Orion with effortless grace. One arm was thrown around the back of the bench, almost brushing against Orion's plating.
The plating of his spinal strut twitched at just how near the two of them were.
"Senator," Orion Pax said with a slight, polite nod.
Shockwave replied with a roll of his eyes that could be described as something over dramatic, even by the standards set by the 'bot himself. But his kibble flared in his amusement, as he said, "Please. Just Shockwave." There was something muttered under his breath about the formalities of political life and how condescending it could get.
Orion almost laughed. He wanted to reach out and touch his hand, but restrained himself. There was a thought, nagging away in the far corners of his mind that he tried not to give too much attention to, that considered the potential of forgoing such things. Of ignoring the barriers of their class and allowing himself to be open.
And there was the fluttering in his spark, the gentle warmth that spread through his systems whenever he was near the senator. Such hard to place feelings, tucked away behind carefully constructed dams.
"All right, Shockwave," he said. A crack appeared. Feelings to be dealt with, in time. But with Shockwave, that seemed less imposing that changing the world.
