Omg right? This course is clearly preparing us for the very important Real World where your elders know best and you don't question the studies that were here first, which is why the world is clearly still flat. 

I just... with this and the farce that was our "two-sample scientific study" and the way the professor keeps being confused by his own questions... I am so ready for the final tomorrow, just to be done with this.

T. Best game memory?

I have a lot of really great game memories, but the one that sticks out most is from just last summer (maybe because it’s so recent). 

I was playing Tales of Xillia. Despite all the complaints about the plot being “confusing” and “boring” on Milla’s side, I had chosen it, and was having an absolute blast with all the personalities and good writing and etc. There’s a point in the plot when something… game-changing happens. If you’re playing ToX and don’t know what I’m talking about, you’re not there yet. It is totally out of the blue.  

So this thing happens, and all these enemies start attacking you, and the exceptionally hot guy you had been fighting just moments before turns around and takes them all out, and you realize he’d been holding back in the fight against you (y'know, because he’s not an asshole and he’s level 80 where you’re maybe 50). The scene basically breaks open the realms of possibility for entire game - suddenly the plot is way larger than anyone could have imagined because there’s this whole other faction no one knew about (except everyone did except you) - and it’s gorgeously animated, and well written, and….

And I just adored it. I was rolling around on the floor and grinning like an idiot for the rest of the night because holy HELL that was exactly what I wanted in a commercially produced game. That kind of sudden plot escalation.  <3 And then I had to move back to school the next day and I was SO FREAKING MAD.  

W. Any games you regret getting rid of?

I actually kind of regret getting rid of Phantom Hourglass. What I played of it wasn’t that good, and having to go back to the Ocean Temple every other dungeon was fluxing annoying, but I should have finished it just to be able to critique it properly, y'know? xD;; V. First game you remember playing?

I watched my parents play a lot of computer games when I was young, but that doesn’t really count as playing them myself. I’m not sure about the timeline, but the first computer game I remember playing was Dungeon Keeper?  The first console game was either the original Sonic the Hedgehog, or Ecco the Dolphin.
