I’m trying, again, to make stereo 3D image, using FB 3D option. This is the cross-eyed version. I can make parallel version if you ask. By I’m being obstinate. Here’s why: When I was a little girl in São Paulo, Brazil, my mother had a laundry lady, who’d wash our clothes. Later, after my parents bought our first washing machine, Dona Maria (the Brazilian equivalent of “Miss Maria”) still came every week to do the wash for us. I loved Dona Maria so much. She’d tell me stories while she was outside our court on our apartment’s washing tank with a built-in washer board, washing our clothes. (We didn’t live in a luxury apartment, but thinking back about that place, it must’ve been a luxurious place in the early 1930s. Some apartments were individual houses in the open court of my floor. Probably the Brazilian 1930 version of the American penthouse apartment.) Anyway, I always told my parents back then, that I wanted to be a washerwoman when I grew up. I really admired Dona Maria. Well this week my washing machine broke, and we don’t know when the part needed to fix it will come in. In this time of Covid-19, going to laundromat is out of the question. So, we bought a portable washing machine from Amazon. Unfortunately, it won’t arrive before the first week of September, and I’m running out of clothes. Hence, I finally fulfilled my childhood dream of becoming a washerwoman. As I don’t have a washing sink with a washboard, kitchen sink, here we go.
