— “It’s been a while hasn’t it? How are all of you?”
Silence. Perfect. The moon and her children are as stalwart as ever, carrying on their duty of lighting the way home for tired travelers like her with the same quiet grace they always had. Tonight, however, she had no interest of returning at least not just yet anyway. For such old friends of hers, she hadn’t spoken to them in quite some time and while they weren’t much for conversation they were excellent at listening.
She rests in the shifting grass, paws folded over one another on her chest and eyes starring at the clear heavens above. A familiar pose, one she had made since she was just a scorbunny by the lake. Now where to start, she had lots to discuss. “Oh me? Ah, I can’t complain. At least, I don’t think I can...” A huff. “I don’t know. I just can’t get rid off this feeling that I’m doing something wrong. Should I be going behind her back like this? I know she only means well but I just- I feel like can’t breathe sometimes.” She sits up, feet that were once bobbing with the now alight and burning footprints into the ground.
“But what else am I supposed to do?! The way she is... I-I can’t tell her about this! She’ll hang my ears over the mantle! And it’s always take this and take that and I’m so tired of taking but she never stops and-” She gazes down, where there was once fire there is only a pitiful smoke. “I’m sorry, I never was good with explaining things. I suppose what I’m trying to ask is... am I a bad sister?” And, like they always did, the moon and stars didn’t answer. Silence. She collapses back onto the ground, any feelings of familiarity she had being cast to the chilling autumn winds. “But why am I asking you? Of course you don’t know, why would you? You’re not even here...”
Now that she was properly done wasting time, it was time to go home. Still despite what she said, she couldn’t help but feel that she had traded a weight in her chest for a hole. How else was she supposed to feel after losing a friend? No, she couldn’t go back like this. She had to do something even if it was a little- that’s it! Tiny paws scoop up a pebble from the ground and juggle it from her toe to her knee, keeping the rhythm until the simple stone was now a burning coal. Her target? That shrub in the distance. A straight shot. That’ll make her feel better.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
CLONK!
Uh oh. That was not the sound she was expecting...
“OH YOU’RE ALIVE! I-I MEAN YOU’RE STILL ALIVE OVER THERE RIGHT?!” The rabbit’s legs move faster than she thought they could, taking her to the wooden stranger’s side in what felt like an instant. “I’m so sorry! Are you ok?! You’re not bleeding are you?! Do tree people do that?!”
“ So you’re from outer space? ” Hand on his hip, idol is slowly making his rounds around Geno as if examining his appearance. “ Or... something like that, right? ”
Heels clack against tiled surface as he bends down to be at his eyelevel, grinning. “ Maybe we have a little more in common than I thought. ” Who knows, maybe having a little heart-to-heart is in the stars for them. “ Yes ... I think my audience would love to see someone like you, darling. Ooh, just think of those ratings! ”

@sternenteile : ❝ a little star told me that it was someone's special day today. ❞ with elegant smile is a box offered forth, wrapped in glimmering gold paper and topped with a cosmic blue ribbon. it's a simple gift of a t-shirt he thought they would like (i mean, he would wear it himself, so!), as well as some freshly-made sugar cookies. they're a touch burnt in some spots, but they're perfectly edible otherwise. ❝ i absolutely had to get you something! i, ah... am not as familiar with your tastes as i would like to be, but... i hope you think this is cool regardless. ❞ soft internal sweating—
the first glance at the shirt makes them pause, squinting at it to make sure they were seeing things right... there’s an awkward bit of silence, before the hybrid bursts into a fit of giggles. “oh-!! this- th- this is absolutely within my tastes, thank you geno!” they won’t put it on just yet, but maybe later.
it’s only then their eye notices the sugar cookies- doesn’t matter if they’re a bit burnt, they’ll eat them as long as they’re chewable. plus, it’s sugar cookies, who doesn’t love sugar cookies?! here they go, taking a mouthful of the darn things. “ffamk yewwww...”

❝ o stars spirits, might you listen to my wish: it is one you are probably familiar with, but I will continue to ask anyways. I would like to request an audience with a star being by the name of ♡♪!?. I would not ask were it something I could accomplish on my own. There is much I would like to ask him. Even if it was just for a single day.. ❞
Though she did not expect an answer, she persisted in her hopes that one day her wish would be granted. Throughout her journeys, this wish remained the same. It was a shame that Geno left so abruptly. Why, she hadn’t even gotten the opportunity to say goodbye. It was heartbreaking. There was still so much she wanted to learn regarding the stars and their origins. Her textbooks on the matter were scarce and lacking true knowledge regarding the subject. Only a star being would know about the history of the Mushroom World and how it came to be.
❝ qbby's courage is simply stunning. he never seems to stop rolling with the punches... even though he is cube-shaped and can't actually roll. ❞ but he'd like to see him try.
what does your muse think of mine? (Accepting!)
”You haven’t seen me roll? You should have seen me with dots drawn all over and people tossing me around like a die.”
”…A-actually, no. Forget I said anything.…”
@sternenteile !
oh dear, it seems that they’ve gotten lost! this has happened many times, but this seemed to be a lot further than they’ve ever travelled to. a galaxy that’s unknown! it makes the shooting star a bit worried for what they may find, though that does mean one thing: possible treasure!
they’ve been mostly looking around, taking their time to gather their surroundings, the night sure was pretty here! if this was night. finally they see a figure and can’t help but find relief that they weren’t alone.
ristar trills while waving their gloved hand, stretching out just a bit in case it wasn’t obvious that they were saying hello!
Hi Your Majesty (OOC I think I'm doing this right), I write to you with an important issue regarding ♡♪!? - I found out about something personal and tragic that happened to him, that you know about, that apparently no one else does, and I am concerned for his welfare. (OOC: Not his writer, specifically ♡♪!? if I am understanding this RPing format correctly) Other stars could be going through what he did. I am a stranger to him but you are his mother; please speak to him. Thank you for your time.
A piece of grey parcel delivered to the woman drifting throughout the depths of space. Truly, not even close to the weirdest possibility the cosmos could through at one traversing its depths. Though the letter held within wasn’t as absurd as the delivery, no, not at all. It was well-written and informative, a familiar name and a familiar problem, kind-hearted in nature, and... greatly disturbing in actuality.
Sights flicked across the words time and time again, a small sigh escaping from the mouth as a pen and paper were procured, a response being written up.
‘Greetings and salutations, dear Anon. First and foremost, I must thank you outright for taking concern for my shining star Geno. Though I know there are many a caring eye looking out for him no matter where he decides to go, it brings an air of repose to see such thoughtful individuals actively reach out to me.
Yet second; I, too, find great worry in his well-being, that I must admit. For no soul in existence can worry more than a mother does for her child. Your points and knowledge, I do ask that you keep Geno’s affairs and afflictions only to those he, too, would want informed. A sense of privacy and self-made pacing can bring comfort, especially by one who has experienced a great and detrimental lack of agency throughout their life.
But you are correct in my previous understandings of these problems, as well as a possibility for these problems to now have spread from Geno and onto other celestial beings under the wings of the Star Spirits. Shall it alleviate any stress and or tension lining your brow, it is a frequent action of mine to head to the home of the Star Sprites and gift unto them what I had given Geno in the past. A reprieve from the cold and direct methods the Star Spirits find keen in conducting. A sort of window into the other side of life, if you will.
It is hard for those without any understanding of the misdeeds they have found themselves in the middle of to acknowledge how much they have been mistreated. To understand bad, one must view good.
My so-called meddling’ A bit of white-out across that line, a burbling burst of anger spilling across the paper instead of poise and grace. ‘Sadly, my visitations cannot take in every star about that Valley of theirs, for there is a system in place that would do more harm than good to shatter without a plan to fill the void afterward. Though I find it equally as important, if not more, to at the very least make it sure that the Stars of such Haven know genuine love and appreciation as much as they do direction and obedience.
And for Geno in specific, I have given that star enough talks to make the poor thing go deaf. I find my ways of assistance gain their strides better in actions instead of lectures, but that won’t stop me from giving Geno yet another speech for the road. That much is true. So, in short, I shall talk to him. Though please find further solace in the fact that I’ve been trying my best to help him in more ways than endless chatter. A life away from the hurt he’s endured for so long and a means to live a life normally can perhaps go further than words in many instances. But a conversation on top of all of that wouldn’t hurt either.
Again, I thank you for your present care in my son. May the Stars shine down upon you and your kind heart.
Rosalina Lavonne~’
