There's a shriek and a thud as Isaac loses his grip, falling on top of Erica and Boyd, sending them all to the ground in a heap.

"Yes," Peter says flatly. "Thank god for that."

Summary: Peter wakes up from a nine-year coma to his whole family dead or long gone, to a broken body that can no longer walk, and to a world that's long since moved on without him. He was never one for video games, and virtual reality was nowhere near as widespread and advanced before his family burned, but he's willing to give Esien Frontier a try if it means he'll be able to escape the wretched mess his life has become for even just a little while.

He doesn't expect to gain a lot more than a temporary reprieve.
