I’m trying very hard not to talk about Transformers: Rise of the Beasts too much (or at all) because frankly, I don’t think anyone around here cares, but god, I just keep THINKING about it. So many things. Plot things and character things and callback things and other things, but also. MUSIC THINGS. So like, can I at least just mention the score for this movie? The whole thing is great, honestly, but particularly at the end of the movie, where the score songs "Till All Are One" and "Humans and Autobots United" have BEAUTIFUL callbacks to the music from the 2007 film. I’m not exaggerating when I say I almost screamed in the theater when I heard that music. You have no idea. Jablonsky's first TF score is still one of my all-time most favorite movie scores, I listen to it ALL THE TIME, it’s my go-to writing music, and it’s what I listen to at work when I’m really stressed out and just need a second to remember to breathe. It’s SO GOOD. And I just really, really love that Jongnic Bontemps found a way to honor that music in this movie, right at the perfect moment. Just. Oh my god, my FEELS.
