"I've never been to this part of the castle. Well, not awake. I sleepwalk, you see. That's why I wear shoes to bed."
Ten years later I’m re-reading Harry Potter again. Book!Hermione is just an annoying character, but movie!Hermione is annoying af. I hate how much they screwed up Ron, Harry and their friendship because the writer had a weird obsession with Hermione/Emma Watson and gave her many of their lines and actions.
There was a long silence. The crowd had almost dispersed now, the stragglers giving the monumental figure of Grawp a wide berth as he cuddled Hagrid, whose howls of grief were still echoing across the water. “We’ll be there, Harry,” said Ron. “What?” “At your aunt and uncle’s house,” said Ron. “And then we’ll go with you wherever you’re going.” “No —” said Harry quickly; he had not counted on this, he had meant them to understand that he was undertaking this most dangerous journey alone. “You said to us once before,” said Hermione quietly, “that there was time to turn back if we wanted to. We’ve had time, haven’t we? “We’re with you whatever happens,” said Ron. “But mate, you’re going to have to come round my mum and dad’s house before we do anything else, even Godric’s Hollow.” “Why?” “Bill and Fleur’s wedding, remember?” Harry looked at him, startled; the idea that anything as normal as a wedding could still exist seemed incredible and yet wonderful. “Yeah, we shouldn’t miss that,” he said finally.

Steve Kloves did such a bad job writing Hinny that Hermione had to spell it out to the audience..
He could also have given Ginny her book personality and made movie Hinny likable.
But hey, at least the screen time was used on something good. Oh wait, muggle coffee shop girl. I love the HBP movie, but my god, it is so inferior to the book that it is crazy.
Movie Hinny deserves justice!
Another not-so-fun fact about Ginny in those movies. If you had only watched the movies, you would never have known that Ginny was actually good at quidditch. It was never shown. Other than her brief appearance in the montage that showed Ron being good. And not the character that went on to be a professional(?!?!?).
They didn't include her catching the snitch against Hufflepuff or her catching the snitch and thereby winning Gryffindor the Quidditch cup against Ravenclaw. Nor did they show her catching the snitch and winning the Quidditch cup for the second year in a row, and then kissing Harry in front of the entire Gryffindor house.
Yes, I'm still salty about this 14 years later, sue me.
