Tom Zenk vs Mr Electricity Steve Regal
I met Steve Regal in NYC. We had to show him how to get to MSG, then how to get in to the building. Nice guy.

This video recently appeared in my YouTube feed: Steve Regal vs. Mike Reed from mid-80s World Class Championship Wrasslin. I wasn't expecting much out of Mike Reed, a fairly generic jobber without the most impressive physique. He sort of reminds me of Pablo from Napoleon Dynamite. I decided to watch the match anyway, mostly to drool over Steve Regal's tan body and bulging white trunks.
However, Mike Reed ended up giving a very enticing and sexy jobber performance in his tight red trunks, with plenty of leg spreading and eye-catching money shots. Atta boy!
Hell yeah, jobber boy! Kick those hot boots around some more! Here is how one website described Mike Reed (accurately, I feel):
"Mike Reed – Mike was a familiar face in World Class for many years, putting over the heels. Mike never scored high on the charisma charts and lacked a well put together physique, but he knew his way around the ring. Mike’s losses far exceeded his wins, but he did once pin Michael Hayes with a surprise roll up when Hayes spent too much time arguing with referee David Manning and not enough time wrestling."
According to the Cagematch statistics on Mike Reed, he wrestled in 143 matches and only won 10 times (including the one against Michael Hayes mentioned above -- which involves Hayes shoving the ref, until Reed quickly rolls him up for a surprise victory. I found the scene on YouTube.)
To be continued...

Quite a shock, this pick is, huh?

Here are finishing moments of the Steve Regal vs. Mike Reed match, which is a real treat for lovers of classic trunks and boots (not to mention one-sided jobber whuppings.)
[Spoiler Alert: Steve Regal defeats jobber Mike Reed with the Belly-to-Belly Suplex (a killer move back in the 80s.) This outcome isn't a shock given that Reed only won 10 matches in his entire career.]
The match is over, but I always stick around for the replay because it's often sexier than the original footage:
