16. what would their hogwarts house be?

so, i personally don't know much about harry potter ( which is both my greatest accomplishment and greatest failure ), but from the little i do know, i was oscillating between hufflepuff and gryffindor. but ultimately ? i decided gryffindor.

18. when was their first real relationship? how’d it go?

connie maheswaran, my good friends ! given that they began as friends, then best friends, then partners, it went really well ! there was always natural chemistry between the two. i mean, there was a little snag on steven's part when he... impulsively proposed because of course he did... but she understood that it tied into his fear and they continued to care for each other and kith. of course, how it would be played out in the current time -- i'd love to leave that open just in case someone applies for connie ( please ) because we hate forced ships, but i simply can't... see them not at least being best buds.

30. are they religious or spiritual?

he wasn't really raised with a belief in any religion. it could be argued that the gems had a natural connection to spirituality, what given that they are... literally gems and their gemstones all connected directly to their personalities, backstories, or purposes ( rose quartz being the crystal of universal love and healing, garnets inspiring love and devotion, diamonds bringing together the body and mind, etc., etc., etc. ). that being said, it's never something directly addressed, nor is any other aspect of spirituality. he has a certain connection to every living being, so it could still be up for argument, but -- if nothing else -- he wouldn't be aware that he was spiritual.

13. best accomplishment?

i mean... it's not exactly something you can put on a resumé, especially in this world, but essentially establishing peace across the galaxy is... a pretty big one.

14. greatest fear(s)?

ending up like rose. between the diamonds acknowledging he isn't her... but he 'was her,' as well as learning he had also inherited the destructive side of her powers, it still remains a concern of his. some of it has been worked through, especially now that he knows how to control them ( thanks to someone he shattered <3 but it's all good ! he brought her back to life ! ) and the gems no longer look at him as a mini!rose, but it's still so unnerving to him. she was lauded as kind and generous and entertaining -- so's he.

12. biggest flaw?

towards the beginning of when his flaws really really mattered ( see: when he actually began fighting next to the crystal gems ), it was his naivety and the blind trust he would put in others. sure, often his blind trust actually... led to him making friend with enemy gems within a matter of seconds... love that for him... but he never actually took the time to look into the possible dangers of trying to become bffs™ with people who literally hated the gems and didn't care a bit for humanity. love it. as for his naivety, that admittedly does tie into the blind trust, but it also applies to... so many other dangerous, possibly even more so than making some new bffs™, decisions. touching magical artifacts that he knew nothing about ? impulsively relying on a rope made of some shirts to save him ? not considering the longterm ramifications of literally stretching his body ? check, check, double check, then there is some more ! as for more recent hamartias, his inability to do what he used to do best: be honest, admit when there was something personally wrong, actually share his own feelings. he became so concerned with people outside of himself that he eventually just... aren't you tired of being nice ? don't you just want to go apeshit ? BRING OUT THE TIGER ! ( and while he's since mostly recovered from that whole thing, bottling everything up is still something he has to actively work hard against. )

26. do they have a certain aesthetic or style?

he never got his distinguished khakis... so he's made up for that by wearing his distinguished jacket. his style is nothing truly special, namely only subconsciously concerned with having the color pink somewhere in there. other than that, the majority of his outfits simply consist of jeans, a t-shirt, and a distinguished jacket !

y'all, it's so hard to not just put one of the songs from the series, but that would be such a copout... i feel like... so many songs could apply, but i'm gonna go with "hear the bells" by porter robinson ft. imaginary cities. not only are the lyrics applicable with that whole theme of trying to figure out what to do during/after hardships, it also has some borderline chiptune -- what steven's little leitmotif consists of !

once upon a time, it was "haven't you noticed (i'm a star)" by an unnamed artist. however... that does not exist in this universe -- tragic ! but he's found a new great repertoire in all mid-00s pop songs, namely britney spears's and christina aguilera's catalogs... no one tell him about their old feud, his heart will shatter.

“ yeah, of course ! give me just... ” he held up a finger, sheepish smile on his face as he turned the corner... perhaps in those few feet away she could hear him murmuring about how they’d talked about this and how he’d get all the animal crackers he wanted, come on buddy and how he knew they weren’t as good as lion lickers, but they’d have to make do for now... pesky feline ! he rounded the corner again, back to his counterpart, and held out his arms ( vanna white style ) to the pink lion. “ here... here he is, ” he introduced through the slightest of pants ( negotiating with an animal who could not talk could still take a lot out of you ! ). regaining his breath, he continued, “ lion, rachel. rachel, lion... he doesn’t talk or anything, but he’s chill. ”

“ okay... maybe... but hear me out. ” once upon a time, those were certainly the famous last words when uttered by steven quartz cutie pie diamond demayo universe, but how he loved to believe that had changed. how he loved to know that had changed... and... how he hoped this would work and the other wouldn’t think he was foolish... “ so, you know how we’re totally surrounded by museums and government buildings and stuff ? all these things that no -- or, at least, most -- kids just don’t really care about ? ” would his upcoming idea be considered vandalism... ? something for the benefit of the children™ that could be washed away easily -- no way ! ...right ? okay. when he completed his thought... he trusted the other would tell him. “ giant hopscotch around the pentagon. ” there was no way his fliers did the idea service, right ?
