lesbians have some of the most strength and perseverance ive seen. we deal with so much shit coming at us on all sides, but we’re still here. we’re still fuckin here and even though our lives can seem so caged by homophobia i know we can make it through, however that looks for us personally.
me: [banging pots and pans] WHO GIVES A SHIT ABOUT STRAIGHTS you: what the fuck me: [loud and unearthly scream, wakes the dead in the process]
the dark wife is so good i cry. lesbian hades/persephone is incredible.
a constant tumblr experience: how badly do i wanna start shit? can my anxiety handle anons telling me im a worthless person? how hot does my rage burn? maybe i should internalize my anger instead. there, this is totally healthy(:
tbh the “feminist easter egg mentality” i think is really borne out of genuine frustration with how rare it is to find a movie that respects its female characters, and people want to be positive so they’ll treat the choices female characters make as if they are autonomous women, and not the creation of their writers. in the long run this plays into the system and rewards creators for mediocre work by silencing those who criticize their work. so, in case its not already clear, no hollywood movie can ever be feminist. hollywood itself profits from the continued objectification of women, both real and fictional. can we please stop rewarding directors who do the bare minimum?
congrats on the driver theory test!
aah thank you soooo much!!
