Workshop with the amazing Steve Simpson all the way from Ireland. We created matchbook covers using our name and a random occupation from the 16th century. I was a lector: someone who read aloud or lectured, usually of the cloth. Wonderful presentation and really great feedback. Este es el trabajo de Steve Simpson, ilustrador irlandés que colaboró con la serie "I Need your Skull" de Proyecto Ensamble.

Se pueden apreciar las ilustraciones inspiradas en el día de muertos que aplicó sobre la plantilla y como estas grafican como nace la vida a partir de la muerte al usar motivos florales, orgánicos y en algunas ocasiones religiosos, sobre un soporte que habla sobre la muerte, el fin y el término.

This is the work of Steve Simpson, Irish illustrator who collaborate with Proyecto Ensamble, I Need your Skull series. 

You can see how he apply the classic day of the dead theme to all his illustrations.  Is very interesting how he represents the living things in our platform that represents the dead.
