steven of steven’s universe is fuckin great. i appreciate how at no point is he made fun of for being pink-themed, associated with flowers, emotional, compassionate, a romantic (he liked the ending of the book where the girl and her bird got married! he’s had his wedding planner forever! he loves the love that ruby and sapphire have for each other!!), a spontaneous singer, and a generally gentle, kind-hearted person.

people’s problems with him never revolve around feminine stuff/his feminine traits and interests. there are no snide or patronising or condescending comments made to steven about these things that are just brushed off or made out to be a joke. and honestly ... that is fucking important

i’m sure we’ll see jasper in steven universe future but as for whatever arc i assume she’ll get i am .......... a little sad we didn’t get it in SU because i think she was prominent enough of a character that she could’ve received some kind of conclusion to her respective story (even something that could be picked up and expanded upon later in SU:F!!) because i think there are a lot of interesting possibilities coming from her
